Robert DeNiro will co-star with Mel Gibson in “Edge of Darkness”, according to a Boston rag.

In the film (based on a terrific UK series), directed by Martin Campbell (“Casino Royale”), Gibson plays a seasoned Boston police detective investigating the death of his activist daughter, played by Aussie actress Bojana Novakovic (TVs “Satisfaction”).

A good cast shaping up here. A lot of you in the states wouldn’t be familiar with Bojana – she is terrific. She’s done a lot of TV work here, currently playing a sweet young hooker (yep, they exist) on the cable series “Satisfaction”. She also starred in the mini-series “Marking Time”, and in the film “Solo” – the result of the first and only season of “Project Greenlight Australia”.
