Scottish actor Kevin McKidd, best known for his roles on TVs “Rome” and “Journeyman”, tells IGN Movies that he’s up for the role of superhero ‘Thor’.

McKidd mentioned a while ago that he was in talks to play a role in the film. but said it was likely for a supporting role as “They want to go for someone younger” for the main part.

Seems something’s changed along the way.

McKidd, who currently appears on “Grey’s Anatomy”, says he’s excited at the prospect of working with Kenneth Branagh, who’s helming the Marvel Comics movie.

As of today, the actor still hasn’t got the gig – but sounds like he’s in with a good chance.
