Larry Miller will reprise his role as Walter Stratford, over-protective father of Cat and Bianca, in the TV spin-off of “Ten Things I Hate About You”, says EW.
Miller’s so far the only cast member from the movie to reprise their role for the new television series.
The new series, written and exec produced by Carter Covington (ABC Family's "Greek"), revolves around two sisters -- a strong-willed feminist and a social butterfly -- facing the challenges of starting out in a new high school.
Miller’s film credits include “Pretty Woman”, “Waiting for Guffman”, “The Princess Diaries”, “The Final Season” and “Get Smart”.
Other actors over the years that have reprised their film roles for television spin-off’s include Nia Vardalos (“My Big Fat Greek Life”), Wallace Shawn, Stacey Dash and Donald Faison (who all returned for the “Clueless” series), John Vernon (who returned for the “Animal House” spin-off “Delta House”), and Michael Gross, who reprised his role as Burt Gummer for the “Tremors” series.
