Ryan Kwanten and Hugo Weaving are lending their lungs to a new home-grown animated feature, “Guardians of Ga’Hoole”.

The film, the latest from “Happy Feet” outlet Animal Logic, is directed by Zach Snyder (“Watchmen”) and is based on the first novel in a series of Children’s books by Kathryn Lasky.

Kwanten (TVs “True Blood”) and Weaving (whose last voice-over part was providing the tongue for Megatron in “The Transformers”) join Hugh Jackman for the pic which tells of a group of barn owls whose home is threatened by evil.

Its rumoured the film, which Warner will distribute next year, will be released in 3D.
