Stone Cold and Supergirl do Damage

Nasser Entertainment Group and Caliber Media Co. have wrapped principal photography on “Damage,” starring former wrestling superstar Stone Cold Steve Austin. The hard-edged, bare-knuckles fight film is directed by Jeff King and also stars Walton Goggins (”The Sheild”), Laura Vandervoort (”Smallville”) and Donnelly Rhodes (”Battlestar Gallactica”). A Domestic theatrical deal will be announced in the coming weeks.

Austin, NEG and Caliber have partnered again on another film entitled “The Stranger,” which will begin shooting this summer in Vancouver. The project is described as a layered action picture in the vein of “The Fugitive” and “The Bourne Identity” with production set to begin in late May 2009 with Rob Lieberman (Dexter, The Tortured) directing.

In addition to “Damage,” Austin will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame at WWE Hall of Fame at Wrestlemania XV. He also recently joined the mega-cast of the Sylvester Stallone film “The Expendables” alongside Mickey Rourke, Jet Li, and Jason Statham.
