Jetsons to film next year!

Robert Rodriguez tells MTV that he hopes to film his long-planned film version of “The Jetsons” sometime next year (meaning “Sin City 2” just got pushed back even more).

“We’re writing the script right now,” the Texan told the site, adding that it’ll indeed be a live-action version of the Hanna-Barbera classic we’ll be seeing in cinemas in a couple of years.

Casting rumours over the years have included everyone from Steve Martin and Charles Grodin playing George, to Danny DeVito as Mr Spacely. It’s probably safe to say none of those guys – if only because of age – will end up in the roles, but it is safe to say we can probably expect some Rodriguez-regulars to pop up in the movie – Danny Trejo as Cogswell, perhaps?

Speaking of Rodriguez, can I just reiterate – I bring this up because Ab King just sent me an email suggesting he’d heard from a source that Arnold has said YES in relation to being offered a role in the film – Schwarzenegger has NOT spoken to anyone about the “Predator” remake… yet. I stick by my source (I’d love to say who he/she is, and that’d definitely prove her legitimacy, but obviously I can’t do that), who says the producers are hoping/trying to get a hold of Schwarzenegger, but as of today, nobody from the Governor’s camp has responded; no conversation has taken place about the movie. It’s amazing how stories can get twisted as they travel… kinda amusing actually.
