The Denzel Washington/Chris Pine thriller "Unstoppable" has hit a budget snag.
The Tony Scott-directed Runaway Train thriller, set up at Fox, is slowing down as a result of disagreements over the appropriate budget.
The project was aiming for a Fall shoot but the studio has concerns about the cost of physical production on the action-heavy film, which could lead to the project being put on hold.
Washington and Pine's deals have yet to close. But that's another factor - Washington not only demands $20 million a picture, but "Star Trek" star Pine can also request a sumly fee too now.
A week ago, Sony pulled the plug on "Moneyball" just days before it was to begin shooting because studio execs were uncomfortable with the commercial potential of the script for a pic at that budget.
