Aussie actress Mia Wasikowska, next seen as the inquisitive rabbit-hole falling Alice in Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland”, has snagged another plum U.S movie gig.

The Canberra-born actress will join Annette Bening, Julianne Moore and Mark Ruffalo for Director Lisa Cholodenko’s ("High Art") “The Kids are Alright”. “Zathura” star Josh Hutcherson is also onboard.

The pic, which begins shooting today, revolves around a brother and sister (Hutcherson, Wasikowska) who set out to find their same-sex parents' sperm donor, who totally upsets their family dynamic once he enters their lives. Bening and Moore play the parents, and Ruffalo plays the donor.

Wasikowska starred in such Australian films as “Rogue” and “Suburban Mayhem” before she headed to the states, consequently snagging roles in such high-profile pics as “Defiance” and “Amelia”, and the TV series “In Treatment”.
