Brad and the gang have Bloody Disgusting had a glass to the door of Ivan Reitman’s door overnight and overheard the prolific director/producer confirming his involvement in the highly-anticipated “Ghostbusters III”.
OK, so there was no glass, not even a door, and I don’t know if Bloody Digusting even know where Ivan Reitman’s office is… but they did get wind of Reitman’s involvement in the film. Yeah, it was assumed Reitman would return in some shape or form, but this is the first confirmation that he will likely direct. Good news for the film… considering Harold Ramis was next in line to take the reigns if Reitman ("Meatballs", "Legal Eagles", "Kindergarten Cop") passed. Nothing against Ramis – he’s done some pretty good work, namely "Groundhog Day" - but this is Reitman’s baby. He needs to be there to offer it milk when it cries for it… and all that jazz.
The site says the new film “takes place when the paranormal researchers "reopen" their ghost removal service after it has been closed for quite a few years”. As previously reported, there will be some young Ghostbuster recruits in the film too, whom the vets of the spirit-splattering biz have to train up.
