Foxy ad-world milf January Jones (TVs “Mad Men”; some may also remember her as the object of Stiffler’s affection in the dire “American Wedding”) will join Nicolas Cage (and his not so realistic looking full-head-of-hair) in the dramatic thriller “Hungry Rabbit Jumps”, says Variety. Ballarat-boy Roger Donaldson (“The World’s Fastest Indian”, “Species”) directs.
The story centers on a man (Cage, in a role originally intended for Tobey Maguire; the “Spider-Man” star retains a producing credit stemming from his earlier attachment as lead) who becomes entangled with an underground vigilante organization after his wife (Jones) is the victim of a brutal crime.
Last week, Jones pacted to star opposite Liam Neeson and Diane Kruger in Dark Castle's "Unknown White Male."
Speaking of Nicolas Cage, Cinema Blend have debunked rumours that the actors’ latest “Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans” will go direct-to-DVD in Feb. Says the site, “…It’s getting a limited theatrical release. That is by the way, all that’s ever been planned for the film, as far as I know. First Look never promised a wide release and the film, despite the presence of Nic Cage, isn’t really the kind of megaplex flick that you’d expect to get a wide release anyway.”
