Olmos on Battlestar future

Moviehole was supposed to sit down with Edward James Olmos last week to chat up the new “Battlestar Galactica : The Plan” release, but one thing (moving day) lead to another (time shuffle), and then another (lack of coin for parking), so it didn’t happen. Thankfully, Frosty at Collider did make his interview slot with Captain Adama – and got some nice quotes out of the multi-skilled vet.

According to Olmos, if “Battlestar Galactica : The Plan” sells 5 million copies – or more – there will be more “Battlestar” flicks.

Upon mentioning how disappointed he is to see that “The Plan” has already been uploaded to the internet, Olmos says if people want to “visit this universe again” they must buy a copy of the DVD or the Blu-Ray not simply browse a Torrent site.

“If they want to see how the final five cylons were created – where they came from; 2000 years before our story starts; if they want to know what happened to Starbuck – what was she?; if they want to know what Adama, Lee and all the people that were placed on the world – this planet – did when they got here, and went their separate ways, then they have to support and place their vote by buying the DVD”.

In other words, we’re not just talking “Battlestar” prequel movies (which is all we’ve seen so far) but sequels. Nice! But again, we all have to buy a copy!
