The always-busy George Clooney (gotta wonder how many films he's actually attached to - aside from the ones visible on IMDB Pro) is in talks to star in the family dramedy "The Descendants", for director Alexander Payne, according to Variety.
Clooney, who has three films coming out ("The Fantastic Mr Fox", "The Men Who Stare at Goats" and "Up in the Air") over the Christmas break, would play a wealthy landowner who takes his two daughters on a search for his wife's lover in the hopes of keeping his family together.
Screenplay, which is based on Kaui Hart Hemmings' debut novel of the same name, was penned by Nat Faxon and Jim Rash.
The flick is set to go before the cameras in Hawaii in Feb.
