Gyllenhaal in Jones' next

Jake Gyllenhaal (next in the love triangle drama "Brothers" - the trailer of which you can view here) is in talks to headline the sci-fi thriller "Source Code" for "Moon" director Duncan Jones.

The flick, set up at Summit Entertainment, centers on a soldier who wakes up in the body of an unknown commuter and is forced to live and relive a harrowing train bombing until he can determine who is responsible for it.

"Source Code" has had quite the life. The project had originally been set up at Universal in early 2007 when the studio bought Ben Ripley's screenplay and attached Topher Grace to star. The studio tapped Australia's Shane Abbess ("Gabriel") to helm last year. The Current script includes revises by Billy Ray ("State of Play").

Jones' "Moon" was brilliant, so this should be nothing less than interesting too.
