Update! : OK, Variety has the story back up... so I guess it's official.

Seems Marvel did keep Ray Stevenson's number, even after the lest-we-forget episode (well personally, I enjoyed it, but my proclomation that it was "actually good" didn't help but bums on seats) that was "The Punisher : War Zone" (in which the big brute took on the role of vigilante Frank Castle), with Variety reporting early tonight that he'd snagged a role in the studios' "Thor".

Thing is, Variety have now removed the article - which reported that Stevenson will join Stuart Townsend ("Queen of the Damned") and Tadanobu Asano as 'The Warriors Three', a trio who aide the Norse God (Chris Hemsworth) the in the Kenneth Branagh film - suggesting the news was : reported prematurely, BS leaked to the site from an anonymous hotmail account, or pulled because of a last-minute contract blunder.
