“Point Break” scribe Peter Ilif will pen the feature-film version of popular U.S reality series “American Gladiators”.

As I’ve mentioned before, the producers have their work cut out for them crafting a film around something as hollow as a reality series about musclemen smacking each other with foam bats.

But according to Variety, the “Gladiators” movie will be quite a departure from the series. The film “will feature the Herculean characters as superheroes”.

Oh hell...

God help anyone willing to shell out $15 to see such a thing.
