Willow Slays Buffy movie

A couple of months back ''Buffy'' fans everywhere (yes, including me) turned cerise when the trades announced a film reboot was in the works – one that wouldn’t be retaining the services of one Joss Whedon.

While it’s pretty much a given that none of the cast of the “Buffy, the Vampire Slayer” series – including Slayer Sarah Michelle Gellar - will be invited back, this being a ‘do-over’ and all, Cinema Blend thought they’d ask original ‘Willow’, Alyson Hannigan, the ‘What If?’ question anyway.

Hannigan, who says “it’s a big mistake” not including Whedon in on the film version (well, technically, the ‘second’ film version – we all remember the 1992 classic starring Luke Perry, right?), says there’s no way in [the]hell[mouth] she’d do the film.

"Not without Joss. Joss is the only reason that we would go back. I mean, it's just ridiculous to think of that TV show without Joss. That's just silly to me… And all the fans know that, too, so I don't know what they're thinking."

As the site points out, it’s no mystery why the Kuzui’s are relaunching “Buffy” – the “Twilight” craze has made everything ‘fangy’ trendy again – but by golly are they in for some scathing attacks… maybe even some picketing.
