Summit ("The Twilight Saga") will continue with their traditional blend of suck, announcing neck-nibbling Dracula the subject of their next flick.
Interestingly enough, Brad Pitt, he himself no stranger to bloodsuckers (having made "Interview with the Vampire", and, er, gotten with Angelina Jolie) will produce the film, "Vlad".
Written by actor Charlie Hunnam (Of "Undeclared" and "Sons of Anarchy" fame) the film centers on Dracula as a young prince; he is known to history as Vlad the Impaler, the man behind the Dracula myth. No word on who'll be playing the legendary count, but you can almost guarantee writer Hunnam has thrown his hat in the ring.
Director David Handler is responsible for the firecracker being placed under the previously immobile project - his reel (said to bare clips that were similar to the creative wizardy of "300") had the execs at Summit jumping out of their seats, a few ultimately reaching for their cheque books, and a couple rushing to the phone to call plan B (whose boss, Pitt, could cough up the rest of the coin).
