Josh Jackson might be reuniting with Ali Larter – she played Kristy Livingstone on a couple of eps of Jackson's “Dawson’s Creek” back in the day – for this big-screen version of “UFO”.

According to director Matthew Grazner, whose been charged with bringing Gerry Anderson’s 70s classic to cinemas, Larter (TVs “Heroes”) is top of the wish-list to play the female lead.

"We've talked to Ali Larter, who's very interested," Grazner tells the Forbidden Planet website. "I've actually met with her, and I think she would be a great addition to the picture. Lake is very strong and obviously also very feminine, and Ali Larter definitely encompasses that."

"UFO" was the first live-action series from "Thunderbirds" creators Gerry Anderson and Sylvia Anderson. Despite the assumption of many TV station executives, the series was not aimed at children, but deliberately sought an older audience; many episodes featured adult themes such as adultery, divorce, and drug use.

The series ran from 26 episodes, including the pilot.

In the film, former child star Jackson (remember young Charlie from the "Mighty Ducks" series?) will play Paul Foster, a test pilot who joins S.H.A.D.O. (Supreme Headquarters Alien Defense Organization), a covert org built under a Hollywood studio that defends Earth against a race of aliens who have been abducting humans and using the body parts.
