A couple of weeks ago Sir Clint-a-lot mentioned that Mel Gibson was gearing up to shoot a new flick in Veracruz.

Production Weekly just tweetered, “Mel Gibson will star in How I Spent My Summer Vacation, due to begin filming early March in Veracruz, Mexico, Adrian Grunberg will direct.”

So there you have it! Gibbo will be starring in the flick, not directing (Grunberg was the first AD on quite a few of Mad Mel’s movies – including the upcoming “Edge of Darknes”) thus essentially putting the final nail in the coffin on those ‘Gibson will cameo in Fury Road’ rumors (not that Gibson was ever going to have time to fit that in anyway – what with directing Leonardo Di Caprio in the Viking flick that was announced yesterday, and the promotional duties he’ll be contracted to participate in for both “Edge of Darkness” and “The Beaver”) which, I hear, at one time or another, weren’t just rumours.
