So much for sticking with the funny stuff.
Former comic Eric Bana, fresh from his applauded performance in Judd Apatow laffer ''Funny People'', is returning to action – the genre that earned him a spot on the Hollywood Star Map.
Bana will join “Lovely Bones” star Saorise Ronan for “Hannah”, a Joe Wright-directed actioner about a teenage assassin.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Bana will play Ronan’s father in the story of a 14-year-old Eastern European girl saved from a CIA breeding camp and raised by her dad to be a cold-blooded killing machine. After finding peace with a French family, the girl is dragged back to her father’s world, and she must fight her way to a free life.”.
Sounds like Seth Lochhead and David Farr’s script is less “Wanted” and more “Leon”, which can only be a good thing.
