Despite rumours suggesting he was ‘their guy’, Sony tell http://www.heatvisionblog.com/2010/02/logan-lerman-as-spiderman-not-so-fast.html Heat Vision that actor Logan Lerman (“Percy Jackson”) hasn’t won the role of “Spider-Man” in the studio’s controversial franchise reboot.

The rumours started when Lerman told TVs Access Hollywood that he’s had talks with Sony about donning the tights, in turn hinting he might be the next Peter Parker.

“There have been a few discussions; it’s definitely something I’m looking into”, the actor, who starred in the short-lived TV series “Jack & Bobby”, said in the interview.

A studio spokesperson tells the trade though that no offers have been made, and they haven't had anything even resembling an official negotiation with Lerman. Not that that means much, the trade added that Sony’s still yet to make a deal with director Marc Webb (“500 Days of Summer”) who it was recently announced would be captaining the [sinking] ship.

So, it’s like this : Lerman is on Sony’s list, but so is Zac Efron, Taylor Lautner, and a bunch of other youngsters.... or so Sony says.
