Seems Nicole Kidman’s going to give her funny bone a workout over the next twelve months or so.The actress will take a page out of ex-hubby Tom Cruise’s book by trying to rescue what many would deem an astonishingly unsuccessful run with a role in an out-and-out comedy.

The Oscar Winning actress will, in addition to playing a small role in the new Adam Sandler/Jennifer Aniston comedy “Just Go For It”, play the lead in the new laffer, “The Wedding Doctor”. The flick, says Vulture, is essentially a female version of “Hitch” with Kidman playing a woman advising couples before they get hitched.

Um, er… Didn’t they already make that one, with Robin Williams and John Krasinski?
