Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov, who recently teamed on “9″, will reunite for “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter”.
Based on the book by Seth-Grahame Smith (“Pride and Prejudice and Zombies”), “Vampire Hunter”, says EW, “turns history on its head, telling the story of the 16th president’s secret battle with the undead-a battle that began during Lincoln’s childhood as a way to avenge his mother’s murder”.
Grahame-Smith will write the screenplay.
Burton will merely produce the film, so he’ll still have time to work on the long-gestating “Dark Shadows” with, of course, Johnny Depp.
