Stone rolls with Drug Cartel Drama

Oliver Stone will direct the drug cartel drama “Savages”, according to Deadline Hollywood Daily.

Based on a Don Winslow-penned novel that’ll hit the shelves in July, “Savages”, says the site, tells of two friends from Laguna Beach that not only share a girlfriend but a thriving drug business. When the duo resist “being muscled” by a Mexican drug cartel, the girl is kidnapped and ”the ransom is every cent they’ve made for the last five years”. The duo agrees to the ransom, but hatches an alternate plan in the meantime.

Stone’s latest flick, “Wall Street : Money Never Sleeps” opens next month.
