A new state-of-the-art computer is being built for both “Fury Road” and “Happy Feet 2″, says It News.
Dr. D Studios is building a “supercomputer grid cluster” that’ll be used to render “Happy Feet 2″ and supply the visual effects on the fourth “Mad Max”. Both films, of course, helmed by George Miller.
Says the site, “The supercomputer grid cluster, based on HP blades servers housed within an APC HACS pod, is already running in excess of 1000 cores and is expected to reach over 6000 cores during peak rendering by mid-2011″.
