Wyatt directing Monkey Movie

Rupert Wyatt will direct Twentieth Century Fox’s long-gestating “Planet of the Apes” remake.

Considering Kathryn Bigelow and Robert Rodriguez were a couple of the names Fox were courting before settling on the relatively-unknown Wyatt (his last film was the 2008 actioner “The Escapist”) it’d seem the project was of no interest to name talent.

According to Deadline Hollywood Daily, no start date is set for the film as yet.
