Disappointing news for Anchorman fans

There has been a lot of talk about “Anchorman 2″ this week – namely in regards to the pay-cuts the core cast had agreed to should Paramount decide it’s something they want to do…. which, director Adam McKay has just tweeted, they’ve they (Paramount) don’t (Whaaaat!? They’re passing on a potential money-spinning sequel with a built-in brand-name and an A-List ensemble!? Someone slap the paddles on the Melrose crowd — they must be ill!).
Unless another studio puts its hand up (depends who owns the rights and whether they’re willing to sell them – and so on) it’s Game Over for the long-proposed ’80s-set sequel.
