So what will Christian Bale be doing once he hangs up the Bat cloak?
Seems quite a bit, if he’s feeling energetic…
Post-”Dark Knight Rises”, Bale may do a new Eastwood flick and the “Old Boy” remake, to name but a couple of the offers out to the current Batman.
Variety reports :
..They include a third remake of “A Star is Born” starring Beyonce Knowles and directed by Clint Eastwood; Fox’s “Gold,” directed by Michael Mann; a remake of Korean thriller “Old Boy” that Spike Lee will direct; Relativity’s “Out of the Furnace” directed by Scott Cooper; and “Noah,” Darren Aronofsky’s biblical epic at Paramount.
I’d say a Michael Mann flick might be the way to go, but after their previous colloboration, “Public Enemies”, I’m not convinced… “Old Boy” would be a nice change for him, I’d think, and we all know, thanks to “Shaft” and “American Psycho”, would a good villain Bale makes.
