Heroes : Season 2 [DVD]
“Heroes” is a bit like a metropolitan train – it speeds up, then slows down, then speeds up, then slows down, then comes to a complete stop… before leisurely getting going again.
Street Kings [DVD]
It's good to see Reeves giving something resembling a performance - something he doesn't do too often. He's actually ‘good' here - rather than ‘tolerable', which is what most will expect.
Family Ties : Season Four [DVD]
Regular readers of this here page (sounds funny calling this 3000-page portal a ‘page') will know of my adoration for Michael J. Fox (And yes, I have seen "Life with Mikey" - own it too!) and more so, "Family Ties".
Deception [DVD]
As kinky as a cheap garden hose, but never quite as exciting as watering that beautiful flower display
Smart People [DVD]
"Smart People’’ is a drama/rom-com for people who don’t want to be talked down to
Rogue : Unrated [DVD]
Don't waste your time on "Lake Placid 2," or "Primeval" - sink your teeth into Greg Mclean's "Rogue."
Futurama : The Beast with a Billion Backs [DVD]
The last one was pretty darn funny, how’s this one? Well, in short, it isn’t quite as good as “Bender’s Big Score”- but there’s no such thing as bad “Futurama” so it still passes muster. Still, it definitely could’ve been better.
Dexter : Season 2 [DVD]
The serial killer you hate to love - he's so darn likeable, even though when he know what he's does for a living! - returns in the second series of the hit cable series, "Dexter".
Starship Troopers 3 : Marauder [DVD]
Casper Van Dien returns as Johnny Rico in the third instalment of the "Starship Troopers" franchise
Lost Boys : The Tribe [DVD]
It looks like a direct-to-video. Smells like a direct-to-video sequel. Plays like a direct-to-video sequel. There’s just one difference….
The X-Files : Essentials (DVD)
By Clint Morris Released in juxtaposition with the new “X-Files” movie (“X-Files : I Want to Believe”), “X-Files : Essentials” is exactly as the name suggests – a bunch of ‘essential’ episodes you ne...
There Will Be Blood (Blu-Ray)
One of the best films of the year hits Blu-Ray. Pity the extras aren't as good as the film.
Batman : Gotham Knight [DVD]
The premise behind DC’s latest direct-to-DVD release is simple. Take six renowned anime directors and six influential writers and compose an anthology of six short films about, you guessed it, Batman
The Ruins : Unrated [DVD]
Only adds to the pile of disheartening, cookie-cutter horror films that has come out in the past decade.
The Spiderwick Chronicles [DVD]
One of the best family films of the year combines the magic of "Harry Potter" with the enchantment of "Bridge to Terabithia"
War Games : The Dead Code [DVD]
Fans of the original won’t be too disappointed at all
Stop-Loss [DVD]
Some films make you laugh. Some films make you cry. Some films make you cower under your seat. ''Stop-Loss'' will make you mad – fists-clenched fuming! If you’re not envisioning a certain President’s head-on-a-stick by the end of the film, you’re somehow related to his tribe
How She Move [DVD]
I believe the youth dancing culture that this film is geared toward will very much enjoy this movie.
Indiana Jones : The Adventure Collection [DVD]
You don’t really need to bother with this one – the extras are pretty much the same.
Remember the daze [DVD]
No more than something adequate to watch between commercial breaks.
Superhero Movie [DVD]
Like most gag comedies, the filmmakers have thrown a lot of crap at a wall to see what would stick. More of it does than you expect, but only if you tone your expectations down accordingly. Of course, if you've paid money to see this, they were never too high anyway.
Southland Tales [DVD]
By Clint Morris This product may contain 'traces of nuts'. The one thing I've noticed about the Southland Shopping Center (in Melbourne, Australia) is that it's either absolutely crazy – people everywhere – or ...
Jumper [DVD]
By Guy Davis Despite what its title might lead you to believe, ''Jumper" is not the story of a warm, comfortable pullover. Okay, now that the most obvious gag is out of the way, let’s talk about the movie, an alleg...
Definitely, Maybe [DVD]
Featuring terrific performances by Ryan Reynolds (I take it he’s playing older here - - in real life he would’ve still been in school in 1992) and Australia’s Isla Fisher (this girl is headed for the top, I tell ya!)
Suburban Girl [DVD]
Gellar’s done a good job – in fact, this might be her best work
