Not to a beat dead horse or anything, but we’ve received final confirmation – or is that ‘final after the final, final confirmation?’ – that William Shatner won’t be appearing in the new “Star Trek” movie. Now, the only reason I mention this is because a couple of sites are reporting that Shatner could indeed still be up for an appearance in the film. Nope, not happening, he’s staying off the Starship.
Roberto Orci, one half of the “Star Trek” writing team, tells Moviehole that ‘’Shatner, sadly, killed off kirk, sobit kinds rues put hands.’’
Indeed. And yes, I do use my hands to chop firewood (that’s what he said, right?). Actually, most think that was cryptic for "It kind of ties our hands").
But, says Orci, another Television great might be making an appearance in the film. No, not The Hoff, not Captain Stubing from “The Love Boat” and not Andy Griffith… but Greg Grunberg, of “Alias” and “Heroes” fame.
‘’Grumberg not in it yet, but it could still happen’’, the writer says of J.J Abrams’ best buddy who many have declared a certainty to play a part in “Trek” since day numero uno.
