Clooney wanted for Killer Tomatoes remake Date : March 24, 2008 Writer : "Caffeinated" Clint Morris
Considering he was quick to laugh off those rumours that he’d return for an episode of “E.R”, to celebrate the show’s final season, the chances of George Clooney wanting to do another “Killer Tomatoes” movie – he did 1988’s “Return of the Killer Tomatoes” before hitting the big time - is, well, slim to none. Almost laughable. Still, that’s not going to stop Doug Sarine and Kent Nichol, the duo behind the upcoming “Attack of the Killer Tomatoes” remake.
The filmmakers tell Bloody Disgusting that they are dead-keen to have Clooney appear in their redo, as they are Bruce Campbell, of “Evil Dead” fame (now that they could probably manage).
“It’s a bit early to talk casting, but we REALLY want George Clooney to be in it and we have a role in mind for Bruce Campbell as well!”, Sarine says.
