Former “24” babe Elisha Cuthbert is returning to TV – probably having realised she wasn’t going to be offered films any better than “Captive” – to play a New York literacy teacher/record store clerk in CBS’s “NY-LON”.
The show, which will also star Johnny Whitworth (“Empire Records”) and Caterina Scorsone, is an adaptation of the British series of the same name. It centers on Edie (Cuthbert), the Big Apple-based clerk, and Michael, a London stock broker, who embark on a cross-continental romance.
Scorsone ("1-800-Missing") will play Edie's roommate, a slutty, bohemian rocker. Whitworth ("CSI: Miami") will play Edie's rocker ex-boyfriend, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
