TV doc Kate Walsh ("Grey's Anatomy", "Private Practice") is pulling a shift at Sony's Culver City studios.
The foxy redhead will star with Dennis Quaid, Tyrese Gibson and Paul Bettany in the new Screen Gems thriller "Legion", says Variety. It's Walsh's first role in a major film since playing 'Sexy Waitress' in 2005's "Bewitched". (For the record, Walsh has also appeared in the films "Inside Man", "Anchorman : Wake-Up Ron Burgundy", "After the Sunset", "Kicking & Screaming", "The Family Man" and "Henry : Portrait of a Serial Killer 2").
Scripted by (Director) Scott Stewart and Peter Schink, the thriller casts Bettany as the archangel Michael, the only one standing between mankind and an apocalypse, after God loses faith in humanity. Man's lone hope rests with a group of strangers who must deliver a baby they realize is Christ in his second coming.
Walsh plays a character named 'Sandra Anderson', according to the IMDB.
Also onboard the film are Charles S.Dutton, Lucas Black ("Friday Night Lights"), Jon Tenney (TVs "The Closer") and Tyrese Gibson.
