With Tobey Maguire not signed for the fourth “Spider-Man” movie, Sony has been chatting to other potentials about possibly pulling on the red skivvy.
The frontrunner, according to IndiaYesterday.Net, is 29-year-old Jason Biggs, best known for his role as ‘Jim’ in the teen comedy hit “American Pie”.
With “Spider-Man 4” producer Sam Raimi recently hiring “American Pie” director Paul Weitz to direct the film, the film marks somewhat of a reunion for its helmer and headliner.
Bigg’s reps offered a “no comment” to the site when asked about his possible involvement in the film, but according to IndiaYesterday’s “inside source” Biggs essentially “has the role in the bag. His screen test was the best of the lot”.
