  • The IMDB is reporting that a “Family Guy” film – i.e. One that could be good enough for a multiplex – is in production. Thanks to ‘GameBoyNin’

  • According to the IMDB, the Writers Guild of America has awarded Brit scribe Peter Briggs a Screen Story credit on Guillermo Del Toro's forthcoming "Hellboy”

  • The WB has released an official description of "Smile Time," the February 18th episode of “Angel”, which MediaSharx has all the details of.

  • PlanetAVP.Com reports that an “Aliens vs. Predator” Japanese anime series could be in the works should the producers get a yes from Fox.

  • John Cleese’s newie “Bob The Butler”; co-starring Angie Harmon and Craig Ferguson is set to film February 16 thru March 19th 2004 in Vancouver under the direction of Bob Spiers, reports Hollywood North Report.

  • Edwin Neal [“The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”] has a starring role in Dante Tomaselli's "Satan's Playground” opposite Ellen Sandweiss [“The Evil Dead”], Felissa Rose [“Sleepaway Camp”] and Ron Millkie [“Friday the 13th”]. The indie horror film just wrapped. Thanks to ‘Tony’

  • Horror Asylum has 10 images from the new Stephen King flick “Secret Window” up.

  • The official site and trailer are now up for Fox Searchlight’s “Club Dread”.

  • The rumour mill has it that Brad Dourif hasn’t officially signed for “Seed of Chucky” yet and that if he balks, a replacement might be bought in to replace him.

  • “Firefly” star Nathan Fillion has been cast in Fox's drama pilot "Hollywood Division," which James Foley ("At Close Range") has come on board to direct.

  • Joel Cohen and Alec Sokolow [“Cheaper by the Dozen”] have been tapped for writing duties on New Line Cinema's adaptation of DC Comics' “Shazam!”

  • Hank Azaria [“Along Came Polly”] is reportedly set to play a bit-part in Quentin Tarantino’s next film “Inglorious Bastards”, says Dark Horizons

  • CBS has cast John Goodman in the new Warner Bros. TV sitcom “Center of the Universe”.

  • Dark Horizons reports that Jane Fonda is back in talks with Cameron Crowe to fill a slot in “Elizabethtown”.

  • Helen Mirren and Ryan Phillippe are teaming to star as a mother-stepson gangster team in “Shadowboxer”, about the unusual relationship between a mother (Mirren) and her stepson (Phillippe). The duo, who have a romantic relationship, work as contract killers. Wes Bentley plays the villain.

  • William Friedkin will direct Noir novelist James Ellroy’s “The Man Who Kept Secrets”, a biopic of Hollywood lawyer Sidney Korshak.

  • According to Dark Horizons, Josh Hartnett is reading this weekend with Radha Mitchell and Rose Byrne for “Mozart” – one of those gal’s is expected to get the part.

  • Eric Christian Olsen [“Dumb and Dumberer”] has joined the cast of Alyson Hannigan’s new untitled sitcom, playing her brother.

  • David Alan Basche has been cast as Wilbur Post in Fox's remake of the 1960s comedy "Mister Ed"

  • Robert Rodriguez is rumoured to be working on a film adaptation of Frank Miller's comic “Sin City” says Dark Horizons. Josh Hartnett is the frontrunner apparently.

  • Julia Louis-Dreyfus [“Seinfeld”] will play a blind attorney for two episodes of the FOX sitcom “Arrested Development”, reports TVGuide.com

  • DVD.ign.com talked to Ronny Yu who said he’s currently waiting on the “Freddy vs. Jason 2” script and if it’s good – he’ll do it.

  • Latino Review has all the Superbowl trailers up – including “Troy”, “Starsky and Hutch” and “Van Helsing”.

  • UHM has a small bit on “Seed of Chucky” saying a scooper “told me that the "New Nightmare" feel to the film that it was described to be like is due to the fact that the doll Tiffany goes through a "facelift" to look like actress Jennifer Tilly, because she's apparently obsessed with her, so fact meets fiction in a way. They are currently still doing rewrites on the script and filming is supposedly set to start March 15th in Romania.” Thanks to Bloody Disgusting

  • According to DVDPremiereawards, “The Lord of the Rings : Return of the King” could be set for a DVD release in May. The special extended edition would then be released in September. A box-set of all three films would also be released in May.
