Film heavyweights Moore, Mulroney & Shue head to TV

Three big names from the world of film are headed to the small screen.

Firstly, rom-com fave Dermot Mulroney (“My Best Friend’s Wedding”, “August Osage County”) is headed to CBS’ “Bunker Hill”.

The Jason Katims medical drama follows “a young Silicon Valley tech titan (Augustus Prew) who enlists a veteran surgeon with a controversial past in starting a hospital with a cutting-edge, “new school” approach to medicine.”

One time Brat Packer Demi Moore (“Ghost”) will star in “10 Days in the Valley” from ”Rookie Blue” co-creator Tassie Cameron.

The series, Moore’s first in 20 years, tells of “Jane Sadler, an overworked writer and single mother in the middle of a tumultuous separation. When her 5-year-old daughter is taken from her bed in the middle of the night, Jane must put everything on the line — including her TV show, her loyalties and her deepest and darkest secrets — to get her child back.”

The drama is currently being shopped to networks.

Third, Elisabeth Shue (“Leaving Las Vegas”) has been taped to star in Fox baseball drama “Pitch”.

She’ll play the image consultant and personal guru for the first woman to pitch in the big leagues.

Dan Fogelman (”Grandfathered”) produces the series, which stars Kylie Bunbury as “Ginny, a young female pitcher who defies the odds when she becomes the first woman to play in the major leagues.”
